Bundle Detection: How to Spot a Coordinated Launch Before You Buy
Bundled launches hide the real supply in wallets you'll never see on the chart. Here's how to check before you ape.
What a Bundle Actually Is
A bundle is multiple wallets buying the same token in the same block, or within a few blocks, usually funded from one source and executed through a tool. The point is control: the launcher holds a large slice of supply across many addresses that look like organic buyers.
On the surface the chart looks healthy. Dozens of holders, steady buys, no obvious whale. Underneath, one entity owns the float and can exit into your liquidity whenever it wants. Memecoins are extremely high risk and most go to zero — a bundled launch just makes the path there faster and more coordinated.
Why Bundles Matter More Than the Chart
Price and volume tell you what happened. Bundles tell you who made it happen. If 40% of supply sits in wallets that bought in block one and never sold, the free float you're buying into is thin. Thin float plus concentrated supply equals a chart that can be walked down in a handful of transactions.
This is not about catching every bundle. It's about not being the exit liquidity for one.
The Checks That Actually Reveal a Bundle
1. Same-block buys. Open the token on GMGN and look at the transaction history for the launch block. Multiple buys landing in the same slot, especially with similar sizes, is the clearest signal. Organic launches rarely produce ten identical buys in one block.
2. Wallet age and funding. Fresh wallets that were funded minutes before launch, from the same source or through the same intermediary, are a fingerprint. One funding wallet branching into five buyers is a bundle. Five independently funded wallets buying over an hour is closer to organic.
3. Identical buy sizes. Bots often buy in round amounts or exact percentages of a fixed budget. Real buyers are messy. A row of identical entry sizes is a pattern, not a coincidence.
4. Holder distribution versus volume. If the token shows thousands of transactions but a small number of wallets hold most of the supply, the activity is manufactured. Check the top holders on GMGN and ask whether those wallets have ever sold.
5. Sell behaviour. Bundled wallets frequently sell in the same block too. If early holders dump together at the first sign of weakness, they were never separate holders.
6. Social timing. A launch where the contract, the first buys, and the first shill posts all appear within the same two minutes is choreographed. Organic attention builds unevenly.
Reading It Like an Operator, Not a Victim
You don't need to prove intent. You need to price the risk. A token with a visible bundle is not automatically dead — sometimes the launcher is transparent and the bundle is small — but you should assume the controlling wallets will sell into strength and size your position accordingly.
A practical rule: if you can't tell who owns the float, you don't own anything. Skip it. There is always another launch.

Where to Run the Checks
Run the launch-block and holder checks on GMGN: gmgn.uk, with gmgn.fr as the mirror. It's the chart and trade surface we point to because the transaction-level view is what you need for bundle work — not a cleaned-up price line.
If you want a second set of eyes, the chain groups are the place to ask. Solana: @gmgnx_solana. BSC: @gmgnx_bsc. Base: @gmgnx_base. Robinhood chain: @gmgnx_robin. General chat: @gmgnx_chat. The Discipline Part
Bundle detection is not a magic filter. It's a habit: check the launch block, check the funding, check whether the top holders have ever sold. Do it every time, even when the chart looks clean and the chat is loud. Especially then.
Most memecoins go to zero. The ones that go to zero fastest are the ones where a single entity controlled the supply from block one and you bought the top of their exit. Learn the fingerprint, and you stop being the buyer they were counting on.
